080 Barcelona Fashion Week: The Show That's Changing the Conversation

After four years living in Barcelona, I've attended the 080 more times than I can count. It has always been a good experience — a place where creativity and what I would consider art truly become one.

Let's be honest: Barcelona was never really part of the fashion conversation. Not in the same breath as New York, Paris, or Milan. Until now. Over the last three years, I've watched the entire industry shift its attention toward what the 080's organisation is building, and it genuinely makes me happy to see how far they've come.

This year was no exception. As per example Dominnico delivered, as always, an extraordinary performance alongside Carmen Lomana. Metrika did remarkable work on the runway. And then there was Nazzal Studio x Jad Maq — a collaboration that transported everyone in the room back to Palestinian roots and showed us what fashion, at its most intentional, can actually be.

Beyond the shows themselves, the venue this year felt like a deliberate shift in strategy — and it paid off. Positioned close to Barceloneta beach and Port Vell, the location pulled every attendee into Barcelona's atmosphere in the most natural way possible. You come to Barcelona to have fun, to be yourself. The 080 leaned into exactly that. The open-air space, combined with the workshops on offer, gave fashion lovers real access — not just to watch, but to be part of the conversation.

In a few words: we loved it. Everyone did.

Watching the 080 grow and carve out its own identity — distinct from every other fashion week on the calendar — has been something special to witness. I genuinely believe that in the next few years, the rest of the world will start waiting for this show the way they wait for the others.

Barcelona is no longer just attending the fashion conversation. It's leading one.
